Deacon is a Syrian word that means a servant. It is also “Diakon” in Greek. The main role of a deacon is to help the priest or bishop in his religious service. The first church appointed seven deacons, who were filled with the Holy Spirit and wisdom. Our mission is to train youth to lead liturgical services. Through encouragement and practice, we will follow a curriculum focusing on the hymns & rites in leading the congregation in liturgies.
